Awakened Presence with Horses Weekend Retreat
Some weekends pass. This one stays with you.
What would it feel like to truly stop? Not just take a break from your to-do list, but genuinely pause — to breathe, to feel, to remember who you are beneath all the noise?
That is exactly what this weekend is for.
Set on 40 sacred acres in the high desert of southwestern Arizona, Triple HP Ranch is a place where the land slows you down and the horses show you the way. Over two transformative days, you will be guided back to yourself through the quiet wisdom of horses, the healing power of ceremony, and the gentle presence of two gifted facilitators who know how to hold space for real change.

Your Hosts
Shannon Russell, Founder of Triple HP Ranch, has spent years building this ranch as a sanctuary where horses and humans heal together. Her work in Equine-Facilitated Learning (EFL) and Shadow Coaching creates the kind of deep, lasting shifts that talk therapy alone often cannot reach. Shannon has a gift for meeting people exactly where they are — no judgment, no performance required.

Liz Cutting, Founder of Mane and Soul, is a coach, yoga guide, and energy practitioner whose work weaves together the body, the spirit, and the natural world. Her presence is both grounding and expansive — she has a rare ability to open a room and make everyone in it feel safe enough to go deeper.

Together, Shannon and Liz bring a beautiful synergy of skill, heart, and soul-deep wisdom. You are in extraordinary hands.
What the Weekend Holds
This is not a workshop. It is not a seminar. It is a full-body, full-heart immersion into presence, healing, and connection — with the horses, with the land, and with yourself.
SATURDAY, APRIL 25 — ARRIVAL & OPENING
You will arrive to a warm welcome at the ranch. After settling in, the weekend begins with an Opening Circle and Intention Setting — a chance to name what you are carrying and what you are hoping to release. From there, the day unfolds gently and powerfully:
- Breath-work & Gentle Yoga with Horses — soften your nervous system and arrive in your body
- Nourishing Ranch Lunch — a grounding midday pause
- Horse Connection & Equine Presence Practice — the horses become your guides and mirrors
- Sacred Pause — time for journaling, wandering the land, simply being
- Sound Healing & Reiki with Horses — release what no longer belongs to you
- Quiet Reflection & Integration — journaling time to let it all settle
- Dinner Under the Desert Sky — a communal meal as the sun sets over the mountains
- Optional: Golden Hour Photo Session with Vanessa Wildrose of Wildrose Woman Photography — capture your wild, luminous self on the land as the desert light turns golden (available by request; separate booking required )
- Fire Ceremony & Shamanic Journey — an evening ritual to shed old layers and call in the new
- Overnight Retreat Stay — rest deeply on the land
SUNDAY, APRIL 26 — INTEGRATION & CLOSING
Sunday is about weaving what you have discovered into something you can carry home. The morning begins slowly and intentionally:
- Breakfast & Morning Grounding — ease into the day
- Intention Renewal & Altar Creation — honor the journey and set what comes next
- Horse Connection & Guided Presence Session — one final, deep encounter with the horses
- Closing Circle & Blessing — a ritual send-off filled with gratitude and medicine
- Closing Lunch before Departure
Optional Sunday Add-On: A private 1:1 Reiki or Coaching Session is available by request for those who wish to go even deeper.

— Kat Black, March 2024 Retreat

“The horses offer a quiet ear, blowing secrets into your field as they listen without judgment. I cried often, graced with such beauty and acceptance of who I am, releasing what is no longer needed.”
