Triple HP stands for Helping Horses.Helping People which started with the original purpose to adopt horses in need and partner with them to help addicts, such as myself. It has since become more about helping both, horse and human heal together from any physical or emotional pain and trauma.
I moved to AZ for work, bought and sold a small ranch in Phoenix area, was drawn to Patagonia, found this 40 acres and set out on this journey to build what was already in my heart.
My name is Shannon Russell (Boswell) and I'm a recovering addict, five years sober which means that I spent my first fifty years of life trying to stuff down my pain and trauma with alcohol. I'm a successful Sr. Director for a large Technology Company, which some call that a highly functional alcoholic. I don't think there is such a thing but the last five years has been an incredible journey of self-discovery, healing and building this incredible place that I get to call home in Nogales, AZ.
Everything I earn from my day job or from hosting clinics goes back into building this ranch and caring for the animals, Sponsoring a horse, donating to the general fund, even attending a clinic is considered a donation because Triple HP Ranch is a registered Not-for-Profit Organization with the IRS and the Arizona Corporations Commission, my Entity ID is 23455162.
Each horse or donkey that comes here, lives here forever unless they are called to a person to be adopted. They also came here out of necessity, meaning they were in a bad situation and happened upon me in one way or another. They live in a herd, in the most natural way possible and get only the best feed and care.
Each one has a story, as do each of you, when I host a clinic the horses are your guides to self discovery, they choose you when you come here, it is incredibly profound how one in particular will connect to your heart and speak to it.
The goal is just that, to connect you back to nature and ultimately yourself, and your creator. by way of hosting events, bringing incredible guides, coaches and healers here to help you on your journey.
Your support and contributions will enable us to continue to build the facility and offer more opportunities for healing both humans and horses.
